About Us

the problem

Unemployment and underemployment are making it difficult for families to afford their basic necessities.  More neighbors are struggling to keep food on their tables and maintain stable housing.

Our vision

To bring life changing hope to our community.

Our Mission

To share spiritual and practical resources with each neighbor we serve, by connecting with them in love and compassion, and by the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to build meaningful relationships with those who receive food assistance from our food program, trusting and praying that these relationships may lead to gospel-centered conversations. Profession of faith or participation in religious activities is not required to receive services.

Our resources

feeding program

Each week, we are able to serve hundreds of families in the Lynnwood area. For neighbors to participate, they must go through an interview process. Please email arie.mahler@alderwood.cc if you are interested.

Faith and finances

Our team leads quarterly Faith and Finances classes for those in the community that want to develop new skills. From learning to create a budget to getting out of debt, the team walks through these important steps.

additional

There are a variety of additional medical and educational resources that we provide. These vary throughout the year and are offered to families that utilize our feeding program on a regular basis.
